La ferrade: Within the herd and in front of an audience that can participate, the herdsmen sort one by one the one-year-old annoubles (calves) which must be marked and concealed. They bring the calf back to the place of the ferrade, in front of the spectators who will stop it for the bravest. It will be put on the ground, marked with a hot iron for identification and scalloped (cut out of part of the ear, according to a shape specific to each herd) to differentiate the bulls from one herd to another.
